Two-Tone Zip Boot in Mustard Calf and Magenta Python

Mustard patinated calf on the outside, magenta python embossed leather down the centre and around the toe. The patina is not flat: dark brown along the top of the quarter, then a clear yellow over the ball of the foot, and the brush marks show. At the heel counter the scales are much smaller and tighter than those over the toe.

The seam between them is closed with a hand whipstitch in dark thread, left visible as a design line. Gold side zip, leather pull tab, leather sole and a stacked block heel. The zip runs from the collar onto the vamp with a dark brown elastic gusset behind it, and the pull is a flat gold tag.

The whipstitch runs from the bottom of the zip down the vamp seam, turns at the toe and comes back along the outside edge at even spacing. The welt is stitched close in a tonal thread and the sole edge is burnished dark brown with a red cast. Inside the collar the lining is dark. Not a quiet boot.
