Black Full Grain Leather Backpack with Buckled Flap Pocket

On the crown and the front pocket the grain is fine and close to even. From the flap down it turns coarse and wrinkled, with long creases running diagonally across each panel. Both textures are dyed to the same black, and the sheen is low.

One zip shuts the main compartment, running from the top rim down the near side on two sliders that meet head to head, each on a flat leather pull. The front pocket has its own zip, and it is the heavier of the two: the teeth are close to twice the pitch. Both are silver. The flap is held by two tabs that drop into silver roller buckles, each strap running on through a leather keeper.

A raised piped seam runs around the crown and turns down the front. The top handle is a folded strap that lands on a tapered tab fixed with one domed silver stud. A horizontal seam crosses the side panel a third of the way up. One shoulder strap edge shows past the body on the right.
