Dark Brown Leather Duffle with Rolled Handles and Brass Base Studs

The hide is dark brown, close to bitter chocolate, with a wrinkled irregular grain across every panel. The finish is glossy, so light catches hard along the top of each handle and down the centre of the end panels. Colour reads deeper in the creases than on the raised grain.

Twin rolled handles are stitched into leather tabs on the top panel. One stitch line runs round each tab, following its tapered outline and curving through the corners. The thread is a shade lighter than the leather, a fine tan line. A leather loop at each end carries a brass swivel clip and O-ring for a shoulder strap. The base is piped and stands on domed brass studs.

The ends collapse inwards under the handles and the top edge rolls over. The piped base holds the bag square along the bottom. A seam runs down each corner. A flatter one crosses the panel where the top joins the body. The studs are matte. The clips and O-rings are polished.
