Dark Brown Leather Briefcase with Detachable Webbing Shoulder Strap

The hide is a dark cool brown with a flat finish. No burnishing, no polish worked into the panels. The grain is small and even, the same over the front, the sides and both handles. The webbing strap and the leather pad that slides along it are a redder brown, and the pad is the one face that catches light.

The body is a flat rectangle with no frame in it, so the top edge dips between the handles. A bound edge runs round the flat base. Twin flat leather handles sit on folded tabs, wide where they are stitched down and narrower through the arc. The zip across the front pocket pulls on a narrow leather strap.

The metal does not match. The zip, the ring the webbing loops through and the slide are bright silver. The two snap hooks are gunmetal, close to black. A second pocket sits low on the left of the front under a flap with rounded corners. A leather charm cut in the outline of a stretched hide hangs from the right handle tab.
