Dark Brown Leather Belt with Raw Edges and Brushed Nickel Pin Buckle

The hide is dark brown with rust pulling through it, and dark bands cross the strap so the tone never settles. Fine crackle lines run over the surface, with small pits scattered between them. Nothing is pressed into the leather: no moulded cell pattern, no crosshatch.

The buckle is brushed nickel, a squared frame with rounded corners and one prong. Rust coloured thread crosses the strap in a single row behind it, and one thread end has been left long. A snap stud with a black collar sits on the face above the keeper, its head polished bright against the matt buckle.

The edges are left raw. No paint and no burnish: the cut face is pale tan and fibrous, and a shallow groove runs beside it on the flesh side. Three holes are in view and the rims show the same pale fibre. The flesh side is dark brown and smooth, so that tan edge reads as a stripe right around the coil. The keeper turns rust at one end and stays near black across the rest.
