Dark Brown Croc Embossed Briefcase with Gold D-Ring Strap Loops

The front panel carries a crocodile hornback emboss. Fine cells and square tiles cover the top third, then the scutes swell into large raised ovals in rows to the base. The finish is high gloss, the colour pale on the crowns and much darker in the recesses. The band and handles are a second leather, an even crackle grain with low sheen.

Both rolled handles come down over flat tabs and are stitched along each side, then run under the band. The edge is bound with a rolled cord that runs unbroken round all four corners. Two antique brass pulls hang at the left edge, their tape hidden behind the binding.

Either side of the centre seam the scute pattern repeats as a mirror image, row for row. The lower edge of the band is cut as a shallow curve that dips in the middle and lifts at both corners. A polished gold D-ring hangs from a leather loop left of the handle tab. Its pair sits at the far right corner, where only the top of the ring shows.
