Cognac Full Grain Card Holder with Scoop-Cut Pocket and Honey Stitching

The leather is a polished full grain calf that runs light tan across the middle of each panel and deepens to a red brown at the folds and corners. Under the gloss the grain shows fine veining and a faint crackle, and the colour sits unevenly, the way an antiqued finish does.

The case folds in two down a plain spine and carries no metal. The stitch is a saddle stitch in honey thread. It runs down both sides of the spine and across the bottom of each panel, each pass slanting the same way. The top edges are left unstitched. Cut edges are burnished to a pale tan, so the perimeter reads lighter than the faces.

One card pocket sits on the left panel, its mouth cut in a curve that dips at the middle so a thumb can reach the card behind. That curve carries no stitching, just a burnished edge. The right panel is bare apart from the name, blind debossed low down in a typewriter face. Along the spine the flesh side of the leather is left raw.
