Cognac Croc Embossed Belt with Burnished Edges and Silver Pin Buckle

The croc pattern is embossed deep enough to throw a shadow in every channel. Wide squared belly scales run down the centre of the strap and break into a fine webbed net of small cells towards one edge. Each scale holds cognac in the middle and darkens to near black where the dye has settled around it.

The buckle is a pin buckle in polished silver. Its frame is rectangular with rounded corners, and the face is plain, with no engraving. A single prong sits on the bar at one end. Both long edges of the strap are finished dark, close to black, and that finish carries round the tip. The keeper loop is stitched down both edges in a tan thread a shade lighter than the leather.

That keeper is cut from the same embossed hide and stamped Majestique Global in silver, set vertically so the name reads up the loop. The strap is cut to a lance point. The leather is thick enough to hold its own curve where the free end crosses the coil below.
