Black Python Embossed Chelsea Boot on Commando Sole

The vamp and outer panel are python embossed and glossed, the quarters and heel counter are plain polished calf. Same colour, two surfaces, so the scale pattern shows only where the light catches it. The emboss is not one size: a tight hexagonal net low on the quarter, broad domed scales across the instep and toe. The polished panels throw a hard white glare, close to patent.

Black elastic gussets, leather pull tab. Black lugged rubber commando sole, which takes the weight up and makes it a winter boot. Stitching runs the welt from heel to toe. The lugs are squared and step out past the upper. The heel is a low block, notched underneath.

One seam drops from the gusset to the sole and splits the embossed half from the polished half. The topline is bound with a narrow polished strip and stitched through. It is notched at the gusset. The pull tab is glossed outside and raw on the back. Smooth black leather lines the opening.
