Black Patent and Python Embossed Zip Ankle Boot

Two black finishes against each other. The quarters and heel counter are mirror patent, the vamp and outer panel are python embossed calf, and both are black, so the boot only separates under direct light. The patent carries the studio light as one long white shape down the vamp. The embossed panel breaks the same light into a glint on each scale, in rows that shrink towards the toe.

Gunmetal zip on the inside edge, leather pull tab at the heel, leather sole and a low block heel. A ribbed elastic gusset sits behind the zip and lets the collar open wider. The sole is thin, and the welt stitch shows as a fine line round the forepart. The heel is squared and built in thin stacked layers.

The seam between the two leathers is closed with a black whipstitch, loop after loop, from the toe up the vamp and round the collar. Each pull tab is a folded loop of patent, and the collar behind it is lined in dark textile.
