Black Calf Leather Chelsea Boot

No broguing, no contrast panel, no hardware. Black calf polished to a soft shine, cut clean over an almond toe, with black elastic gussets and a leather pull tab at the heel. The shine runs down the vamp in long streaks and breaks over the toe, and on the quarters a fine wrinkle shows through the polish.

Leather sole with a rubber insert at the heel for grip, and a low block heel. A stitched welt runs the length of the forepart, the stitch fine and evenly spaced, and the edge below it reads a shade warmer than the black upper. The ridged rubber piece under the heel shows from the side.

The gussets are matte elastic, so the panel sits flat against the shine on the leather beside it. One row of stitching follows the gusset all the way round and dips low towards the waist. The pull tab is a folded loop of the same black calf, stitched inside the topline so it stands clear.
